and so it began...

Christmas break officially started yesterday (last day of school was Friday). There's good and bad to it, Jaiden's (usually) great with Travis, however, it means one more child to entertain during the day, and this one doesn't take a nap--lol.

Needless to say, Christmas is creeping up on us, and I cannot wait! I bought my ham yesterday, and baked cookies, as well. Today I made candie coated pecans, but I'm still waiting for them to cool to see if they're any good! I hope they are! My shopping is done, but my cleaning is not! Definitely need to do that! Christmas morning breakfast will probably be french toast, that a friend posted that can soak all night, and that way there all the clean up can be done Christmas Eve instead of after I make it Christmas morning! What a plus!

I've got pictures to post, but they're on the lap top (thanks Jamie), instead of hte desk top, and the lap top isn't picking up internet connection for some reason (boo!).

We got a bunch of snow, however, it seems to all be melting today, which leaves it ugly outside. I'm really hoping it's either all gone, or all covered up by Christmas morning!

28 wks and counting!

So I had my 28 wk appt today, and everything went well. My BP was 120/70, which is SO much better than when I was pregnant with Travis!! I gained 5 lbs (in a month) making the total so far 10 lbs, and Timothy's heart rate was at 150. Travis was cute, when the mid wife took the doppler and put it on my belly I reached down for Travis and as soon as he heard his baby brother he hugged my arm. I told him, "that's your baby brother" and he goes, "HI!" So cute!!! I'm measuring right on schedule, which is good.

When I asked the midwife about the pressure that I've been feeling (feels like the baby could pop out at any time), and she said the baby is head down and getting into position. I'm glad he's in position, however, Timothy, if you could stop being so adament in wedging yourself down further, Mommy would greatly appreciate it!!

I got his coming home outfit today, but it's downstairs locked in a room that has all the christmas gifts in it, as it's in a bag that has a present for Jamie in it. I'll take pictures tomorrow maybe and post them :)

he's almost home!

Jamie is supposed to be landing in like 30 minutes! I'm super excited to see him! This week was a tough one. Pregnancy emotions are not my friend, especially when the hubby is gone! I had a tough week, but as always, got through it. I'm dreading the fact that he's going to leave for 7-8 months in February...that's going to be alot rougher! Hopefully I'll be so busy at that point that I won't even notice he's not here (yeah right!).

Needless to say, this morning I cleaned the house (I was slacking this week). Now I've got to run to the store to get potatoes so I can make meatloaf and mashed potatoes tonight.

peaceful day =)

I had such a peaceful day today! I'm not sure why, maybe just because it's Sunday, and I always love going to church and hearing Pastor Altus preach, or maybe it's because I got home tonight (from setting up the gym into our Christmas Shop at the school), to a wonderfully cooked meal from Jamie, or it could be because right now the boys are in bed, and Jamie and I (mainly Jamie), just finished up our Christmas present to the family--he had an AWESOME idea! I'm super proud of it!!! And I can't wait for the family to get it! I hope they like it as much as I love it! Needless to say, I think that all of those reasons, are reasons why I had such a great day!

It's early to rise for this momma tomorrow morning, as I've got to be at the school around 7:45 in order to prep last minute stuff for the shop, so it's off to bed I go!

Sooo thankful!

Today's Thanksgiving, and I want to say right off the bat that I am so thankful to the Lord for so many things. First off, for my family and their love and support that the provide, and the strength I find in the boys! Second, for my friends and church family.

We were invited over to our friend Christina's house today and we had a complete blast! She's so awesome, and so were the rest of the guests. I'm really thankful for the invitation for great food and even better fellowship! The boys had a great time with everyone, and Travis had an even awesomer (is that a word?) with Christina's two great danes and two cats! Everytime I said, "Travis, do you want a doggie?" he nodded his head yes and said "uh huh" it was really cute...so cute I'm tempted to get a dog (thank goodness Jamie's levelheaded and said "NO, not until we get back to the States!"

Anyways, going to go spend sometime with the boys before bed.

busy day

hello, hello.

It's a busy day today. So far today I've cleaned half of the house (need to mop the floors and get the bathrooms), made my dessert for tomorrow to take to our friend Christina's house (I'll post a picture later), and done loads of laundry!

Now, I'm sitting here waiting for Jaiden to get home, so we can run to the store to grab flour and yeast, leave it to me to forget to pick something up *sigh*. I need them to make the dinner rolls for tomorrow...I'm praying they come out okay--this will be my first time making this recipe! Then again, it was my first time making the chocolate-almond covered pretzles too, but they turned out pretty fantastic, if I say so myself =)

I've got a big ole box of baby/toddler clothes sitting in my living room, waiting for Jamie to bring downstairs. I cannot wait to get it out of there! The box was half full sitting in the hallway until I decided to pull up more clothes from when Travis was a little one, and finally put them in there to fill the tote. Needless to say, I cannot lift it, being pregnant and all, and I don't think I'd want to lift it even if I wasn't. I'm glad to get it done and out of the way, as I needed to do it anyways, as I need to figure out what all I need to get for the baby.

Travis just woke up from his nap, and is now eatting his snack: pretzle sticks and milk. He's such a cutie, and definitely knows how to get his way with me. The child is the biggest flirt EVER, he flutters his eyes, and smiles and says "pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee" when he wants something. It's soooo cute!!! And trust me, I'm not bias at all =P

Anyways, Jaiden should be home any minute now, so I'm gonna run and get my shoes on =) Later gators!

Welcome!

Hello to all! Welcome to the craziness we call life around here! We're a family of 4, soon to be 5! Our family consists of Jamie--daddy, husband, U.S. Airman, Betsy--mommy, wife, SAHM, Jaiden--8.5 yr old, who thinks he's 30, Travis--2.5 yr old (who thinks he's 30 too!), and baby Timothy Isaiah who is due March 12. I plan on trying to keep everyone updated on what's going on with our life on a day to day basis, from where we call "home" (more like where ever the airforce says!).

...A little about us...

Jamie and I have been married for 4.5 years (may 27, 2005). The first time I met him, I knew I was going to marry him! We had been talking on the phone for about a year prior to meeting each other, and I could feel the chemistry--meeting your soul mate isn't something that happens every day! Needless to say, we had ups and downs in our relationship, as every relationship, especially long distance (I was in Massachusetts, he was in FL ones do!). Needless to say a year and seven months after we met, we were married.

Fast forward 2 years.

August of 2007, we got custody of Jaiden, Jamie's son from his first marriage. In October, Travis was born. Shortly there after we moved to Germany! I was thrilled to be going to Germany--I didn't realize how much I'd miss Florida, and how much I was taking for granted!

When we got here, I didn't know up from down. I was depressed (not diagnosed), but who wouldn't be. Moving out of the states, and away from affordable trips home to a place with no friends and cold, dreary weather?!? Once we got settled in, I started feeling more and more comfortable. Back in April of 2008, we became members of the church we were attending, and recommitted our lives to Christ, our loving Savior! Since then, it's been a real blessing to be here most days! Yes, it's still tough being away from friends and family, however, that's part of our lifestyle, and something we've learned to deal with (however, that doesn't mean family and friends can't come visit!!! **hint*hint**).

We went home this summer, and came back with the best suvineer that a person could ask for--a baby! We had been trying for about a year before that, and finally got a positve on a pregnancy test on our way home! Timothy Isaiah is due March 12, 2010, while Jamie is deployed. Yes, I did say, he'll be deployed for the birth. I've got a great bunch of friends here though, that are willing to help out with the kids! I'm truly blessed to have been placed where I am right now!

As I said, Jamie's in the military, USAF to be exact. What a blessing it is, we have health care, a roof over our head, and clothes on our back, and a steady pay check! We've been praying and praying about what to do come 2012, when Jamie's enlistment is up. We were going back and forth between getting out and staying in, and decided when we went back home (and realized once again how much we missed it!) that we were getting out. A coupel weeks ago, both of our eyes were opened through much prayer, and we came to the realization--separately, on the same day--that we were being called to stay in! So come 2012, Jamie will re-enlist and we will be given orders to a different base, hopefully some place warmer, but if not, the Lord will pull me through!
